Donate Blood
There is a need for blood each and every day of
the year. By giving blood now, you are making sure this precious
gift is on-hand for the patients who need your help to survive an
accident or illness. We all depend on this perishable resource.
Blood is an emergency medicine and must always be readily available.
Join A Community Blood Council
Blood councils work within a particular
community to assist chapters with planning blood drives.
Community members meet monthly to help identify potential
sites for drives, recruit donors and volunteers for drives, and
assist with planning and facilitation of blood drives within their
community. Presently,
there are councils in the
Back Mountain and Mountain Top.
If you are interested in starting a community blood council
in your community, call or e-mail Phoretta Hoover
HooverP@usa.redcross.org today at 823-7161 ext. 340.
