Judy Endo receives award
from Charlie Krommes, Red Cross
Instructor/Trainer.
Congratulations
to Judy Endo, Clerk Typist in the
Wilkes-Barre
Office of Bureau of Workers' Compensation, who
was awarded the American
Red Cross Certificate of Merit on April 25,
2008, for helping save the life of a child.
Only
one week after attending the
commonwealth-sponsoredCPR/First
Aid/AED training in 2007, Judy was on her way
home
from work when traffic came to a sudden stop
because the vehicle
in front of her struck a six year old child.
Judy’s training
gave her the confidence to run to the
child’s aid. She was able to remain calm
while instructing the bystanders to call 9-1-1
and have them stop traffic. Judy remained with
the child until paramedics were able to get
there.
